The Excuses Keeping Women From Booking the Photoshoot They Actually Want
After doing this for years, I’ve noticed something.
Not just here in Ohio.
Not just with boudoir photography.
Not just with fantasy sessions.
Everywhere.
So many women say they want to book a session someday… but then the reasons start showing up.
“It’s too far.”
“I wanna lose weight first.”
“I’ll wait until I can pay in full.”
“I need to get through this season first.”
“I’ll do it one day.”
And listen… I know sometimes those things are real.
Not everyone is in a place to book right now. I genuinely understand that.
But after years of photographing women and hearing these same things over and over again, I also know something else:
A lot of the time, it’s not actually the circumstance holding you back.
It’s the excuse.
“It’s Too Far”
If it feels too far, what that often really means is you’ve decided it has to be easy to be worth it.
But the women who end up booking anyway?
They decide they are worth the drive. I have had some travel by car 5 hours one way to get here, they had their digital files before they were back home. I also had a group of 5 women come to me from TEXAS and im in OHIO!
I have women travel hours for their sessions because they know this experience matters to them. Not because it’s convenient. Not because the timing is perfect. But because they finally stopped treating themselves like the least important thing on the list.
“I Wanna Lose Weight First”
I need you to hear me on this one.
You can lose the weight and still find something else to criticize about yourself.
Because when you’ve spent years picking yourself apart, the issue usually is not actually your body.
It’s the way you see yourself.
There will always be one more thing to “fix” until you finally allow yourself to experience your body from a different perspective.
That’s why this experience matters so much.
The women you see in my photos?
The confident ones?
The powerful ones?
The women glowing in lace, wings, glitter, crowns, sheets, leather, or nothing at all?
They said the exact same things before booking.
They were nervous.
They thought they needed more time.
They wanted to lose weight.
They thought they weren’t photogenic.
They worried they’d look awkward.
They were not magically more confident than you.
They just got tired of waiting to feel “ready.”
“I’ll Wait Until I Can Pay In Full”
Okay… but here’s the thing.
By the time many women save up and finally feel ready to book, I’m often booked out 8+ months in advance.
So now you waited all that time to save… and now you’re waiting even longer to actually have your session.
Meanwhile, you could’ve booked your date months ago and been putting that exact same amount toward your payment plan over time.
That’s literally why payment plans exist.
That’s why booking ahead exists.
That’s why I created options in the first place.
You Do Not Need the Perfect Moment
You need the decision.
Because waiting until life calms down, your body changes, your schedule clears up, or everything feels easier usually just keeps this dream sitting in the “maybe someday” pile forever.
So if you’ve been following my work for years and still haven’t booked, I want you to ask yourself honestly:
Is it really the distance?
Is it really the money?
Is it really your body?
Or have you just not allowed yourself to become a priority yet?
Because those are two very different things.
Book Your Session Ahead of Time
You can book online 6–18+ months in advance and make payments over time.
It really can be that easy.
You just have to say yes.
