The Fae Purge: Dark Fantasy Photography in Toledo, Ohio
There were white gowns.
There were skull masks.
There were wildflowers.
There was a whole-ass forest.
And then there was blood splatter.
This was The Fae Purge.
The concept was to create something beautiful, eerie, and a little unsettling, like stumbling into the middle of a story that had already gone terribly wrong.
No cute woodland fairies. No glitter. No flower crowns.
Just bone masked women in flowing white gowns, surrounded by dark woods and wildflowers, looking like they might have been there for centuries.
And honestly? The blood was the perfect finishing touch.
This is exactly why I love fantasy photography. We're not just putting on costumes and taking pretty pictures. We're creating a world, a character, and a story around the person in front of my camera.
Sometimes that story is beautiful.
Sometimes it's dark.
Sometimes the fae absolutely fucking massacre each other in the woods.
I'm good with all of it.
