My Gothic Snow White Session

There’s something about Snow White that always felt… a little too polished. Too sweet. Too quiet.

So naturally, I wanted to mess with that a bit.

This whole session started as a “what if” in my head. What if Snow White wasn’t just soft and gentle, but a little darker around the edges? A little more aware. A little more herself. And once that idea grabbed me, I couldn’t let it go.

I built most of this look by hand (which honestly… was half the chaos and half the fun). I made the skirt, the arm cuffs, pieced everything together slowly until it started to feel real. The corset is from Scarlet Darkness, because I don’t make corsets… yet. Give me time. I’m getting there.

And the hair? Long, black, dramatic, down to my butt because if we’re committing, we’re committing.

What people don’t always see though, especially with self portrait work, is how much is happening behind the scenes. It’s not just “set a timer and pose.” It’s run back and forth, fix the fabric, adjust the light, check focus, try again, miss it, try again. Over and over. Being the photographer and the model at the same time is honestly a workout and a half.

I recorded parts of it this time, because I wanted people to see that side too. The messy middle. The parts where it’s not graceful or aesthetic. Just me, figuring it out in real time.

But then… you get this.

The final images always feel a little surreal, like they came from somewhere else entirely. That’s the part I love most. Taking an idea that lived in my head and turning it into something you can actually see, feel, step into.

And that’s exactly what I want to create for other people too.

Not just photos. Not just “posing.”
A full moment where you get to become something, someone outside of your everyday life. Soft, dark, powerful, undone, whatever version of you is waiting for a little space to exist.

Boudoir, fantasy, in-between it’s all the same language to me. It’s about expression. It’s about stepping into your body in a way that feels intentional instead of performative.

If you’ve ever looked at something like this and thought “I wish I could do that”… you can. You just need the right space and someone who knows how to guide you into it.

I’ve got you on that.

And honestly? This is just the beginning. I cannot wait to do more princess and villain looks in 2026 and 2027.
