Nyx Inspired Fantasy Photoshoot in Toledo
NYX: The Goddess of Night Came to Life in My Studio
There’s something really special about creating a concept from absolutely nothing but an idea in your head… and then watching it slowly become real piece by piece.
This wasn’t just a photoshoot for me.
This was world-building.
Inspired by Nyx
And honestly? I didn’t want to buy the magic.
I wanted to build it.
I Made Everything for This Shoot
The outfit.
The accessories.
The moon prop.
The styling.
The makeup.
The entire mood.
I wanted the moon to have texture and imperfections in it so it would feel ancient and celestial instead of perfectly manufactured.
One of my favorite things about fantasy photography is that it lets me combine every creative part of myself into one piece.
Photography becomes sculpture.
Fabric becomes storytelling.
Lighting becomes emotion.
Shoots like this remind me that photography can be more than documenting what already exists.
It can create entirely new worlds.
There’s something deeply fulfilling about looking at a final image and knowing:
“I didn’t just photograph this. I imagined it first.”
And then built it with my own hands.
That feeling never gets old.
